The Deh Cho Bridge Project
The Government of the Northwest Territories is building a cablestay bridge to span the Mackenzie River near Fort Providence.The bridge will replace the operations of the Merv Hardie Ferry and the Mackenzie River Ice Crossing currently at that location.

Work continues on the south pylon and cables. In the coming week, the crown of the south pylon will be welded, and prep work will begin on the first set of forestay cables. Infill rebar is being installed between already-installed deck panels, while additional deck panels continue to be delivered and installed.

April 27, 2012
Construction continues, with both sides of the bridge now connected and deck panels being laid. The second A-pylon and cables are being installed. The bridge is now more than 90% completed, with the critical warm weather phase of construction soon to begin.
